Day 2 of HouseParty and we’ve got a packed day ahead of us. I’d like to think we saved the best for today but that simply isn’t true. Yesterday saw 180 people create a great melody of ideas, conversations, passion, connections and energy. All the right ingredients for innovation.

We had the Open Museum of Future Housing Technology build IT prototypes of sticky backed plastic, wooden sticks and post-it notes, Nesta launch their open data challenge around ‘What open data solution would help renters make the most of renting’- I suggested a platform which shows the best place to rent in order to increase life chances using aggregated data around well being, health and home ownership… lets see what happens.

I spent a very interesting hour in a fireside chat with Francis Coppolo, right after our mocktail party where we had a passionate and rousing speech from Chief Exex, Colette McKune calling for the sector to get their shit together and respond to the damage of benefit street. We re-designed houses, re-imagined estates, build networks and just had a great time.

I also got interviewed by Faye Galvin, from Housing 24, which you can watch here
