I am fed up reading over veneered accounts of how people have developed their careers. It’s never straight forward. I get asked almost daily for career advice and its nothing you can give in a 20 min phone call. So, instead we are throwing open our office doors and starting CareerClub – an evening of honest, irreverent, cross examinations of all the careers in social change and how we got there, or got lost instead.

Hosted by our new associate and very own Career Coach, Penny Wood, each CareerClub will feature a sector and a commitment from those on the stand to be as honest as possible about their professional journey. Difficult questions about career decisions, the jobs you’ve left off your CV and awkward interviews are particularly welcome.

After all your career illusions have been shattered, there will be informal drinks (with crisps).

Come and the true version of how we’ve all worked our way into doing what we love, whilst meeting other people on this wonderful journey of trying to work out what we do with the professional time that we have.

It is a BYO and free to attend, but space is limited to 20 people and you need to register so we can enough crisps in!
