Movement building for high growth startups
A six-month programme for ‘tech for good’ startups
WAYRA, the innovation hub for telecoms giant Telefonica, works to identify, develop, promote and scale UK-based start-ups.
Following a partnership with UnLtd, we were asked to design a support programme tailored to the needs of social entrepreneurs, combining business strategy and movement building techniques to accelerate their growth and impact.
We designed and delivered a six-month programme of support and coaching to a cohort of 13 ‘tech for good’ startups, including Hubbub, Lingoing and Third Space Learning.
As a pioneering accelerator programme in the impact investment space, our work included creating a much-needed eco-system of support and potential funding from social investors, mentors, supporters and customers.
Seven of the businesses from the accelerator programme went on to secure investment, and we provided one-to-one support to help with scaling up, marketing and setting up advisory boards through network development.
We also set up and ran a successful alumni programme to strengthen and deepen Wayra UnLtd’s impact in the social entrepreneurship world.
