Fernanda has worked with communities, nonprofits, and foundations in tech for good projects. She is particularly interested in alternatives to traditional ways of addressing social issues.
Her past projects include managing a chatbot for domestic abuse at AI for Good, developing an independent service directory platform for vulnerable women at Standtall, and helping launch a human resources software for charities at Zing.
She holds a B.A. in Politics and an M.A. in Human Rights from the University College London. An activist at heart, she’s travelled to Brazil, Thailand, Canada, and Jamaica with Amnesty International, Habitat for Humanity, and other international organisations working on issues of climate change, refugees and homelessness.
In her spare time, she’s involved in the AI for Good Community and is currently setting up a mentoring programme for young women interested in innovation.
